SO i’m finally back blogging. Really really really wanted to post earlier but couldn’t help procrastinating again. haha.

VIETNAM: It was less fun than we expected i guess, what with all the crazy lengthy bus rides. stupid tour group haha. the people were all families, save one noisy big group of indonesian ah mas. In short it was a lot of sightseeing and eating and most of all, sitting on the bus trying to sleep. didn’t like the tour guide much, and we were forced to pay a rather exhorbitant amount of tips to him. damn rubbish. succeeded in finishing the bottle of absolut before leaving there. jijo very high. Oh ya. and it was a lot of shopping also, buying cheap imitation clothes and random stuff. overall can’t say this trip’s been the best ever, but it wasn’t bad la (: at least the company was there. we’ll upload the pictures very soon!

First great surprise upon reaching Singapore was Nick waiting but i was feeling sick and hangoverish and so we cabbed back home and i finished the last four eps of Hotshot at one shot and i felt so cheated by the ending.

So spent the next couple of days after Vietnam with Nick because she would be leaving on the 20th for Hokkaido. can’t really communicate much because she cannot reply much in case bills end up like her June Vietnam trip. So it’s been quite a torture not having to sms most of my waking moments. Anywaysssssssssss, random shoutout: I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday i met Kevin for breakfast and talked to him till mid-afternoon caught up a lot. hahahaha spent the remaining day reading Nick’s twilight series which i bravely embarked on after her departure. anyway i finished all 4 books in like 4 or 5 days! it was quite addictive to an extent, and i hated bella like mad how can she kiss jacob?!?! Like WTH.

Sunday my family took a family album!!! it was downright tedious and the photographer was damn anal but hopefully the photos turn out okay. After that i joined jesslyn’s birthday lunch with jessamin eileen qs and calvin. haha. happy belated jess and jessa

Monday and Tuesday were very relaxing, because i stayed at home to continue with new moon and eclipse and breaking dawn.  oh yes. and those few days i also played a bit of cs which i re-installed for fun haha. and more importantly i helped my aunt with summarising translating citing rephrasing her research paper thingy! spent quite a bit of time on that.

And yesterday met the Vietnam peeps and Benpoh and Ernest and Nickfoo for xmas eve outing. it wasn’t much, just stoning talk cock sing songing at kap, dining at _ outside heeren i forgot the name and more chilling at starbucks. then nickfoo went home and the rest of us came to my house. chitted and chatted and watched movies and slept. ernest went off in the morning. the rest of us stoned somemore and time just flew by and Benpoh left after lunch and more stoning and then evening what’s left of us went to bpp for dinner.

Tmr is outing with woankeng and junshyang and kheexuan hohoho. and the day after will be council party and ___ before that. And hopefully a couple more outings to come before more than half the guys i know leave for NS and girls and april guys ALL have jobs. speaking of which… ugh. but no choice la i need to be decisive and choose properly shucks. i’m burning money like hell these days ahhhh crapzzzzzzzzzxz.

YAY for a good week spent with great friends and NICK
calvin and yuxuan are finally back from australia and hongkong
so the 4 of us played mahjong at calvin’s again yesterday!
after a sumptuous lunch at a certain hongkong dining place in lot 1.

on tuesday met up with hazel jijo and yappy to settle insurance
so in case we die there touch wood
got 50k to claim.
we ate toilethumour’s favourite ah kow bak chor mee.
it was not bad, wonder if they were ‘on form’.
but because i am not a food expert,
i shall not talk about its texture or taste or appearance (:
watched Sex and the Teenager’s Mind after that at my place.
was a lousy show through and through.
should have known, it’s only NC16.

met nick on the odd days of the week.
very nice.

have been watching hot shot these few days
because a lot of ppl have been ranting about it non-stop the past week
it’s very exciting and pretty funny, i like:)

hongkong was shopping and eating and shopping and eating and more shopping. visited like 3 or 4 big shopping malls and the prices of clothes were mostly ludicrous, everything in the armani range. shopped right from the first night there, and still couldn’t decide on anything exact a few hours before departure. in the end it was a faceoff between the waistcoat and this maroon blazer i really really liked in this shop Playlord. but it was 350 sing and my parents were reluctant so okay bought what i eventually wore at club monaco. the shirt, the pants and the waistcoat. and the belt. totalled up to about 400 plus sgd but oh well, once in a lifetime la haha. on the mannequin with the waistcoat was a different shirt, a red-white checked one. but i am so creative and attention seeking that i went for the flowery one with the same colour scheme and back in sg i slightly regretted it cos i suspected it would look ugly to many. also bought lots of other clothes there at various outlets and discounts. so it was a fruitful trip. but i feel like i wouldn’t want to go anywhere for awhile now, cos i get homesick and nicksick easily. hahahaha. this trip’s entirely due to the family going to watch my gugu’s grad day at HKU! doctorate sia la hahahaha.

bought my bow tie in this place Tie Rack and anyway they had shelves and mountains and valleys of nice ties but cause my shirt was so flowery alr no choice la. haha anyway damn stupid i didn’t know it wasn’t a clipon and no one knew how to tie in the Ritz room so after loads of fumbling by Ben and Yap and Weiguo and dunno who Ngehwee came and helped me anyhow tie a knot so in the end a proper bow tie turned out like… that. looked to me like the ugly malaysian flower. the poisonous and oversized one we learnt in primary school science.

Anyhow, Best Dressed! was a bit stunned and especially amused. the prize wasn’t much, just useless goodybag vouchers. but got red tub island creamery voucher! haha but it felt nice having everyone’s attention for like 1 minute or so. haha.

Took lots of pictures but not as many as i would have liked it felt like everyone i know was missing. and (dad’s) camera ran out of batt quite early so for like 20 odd people had to use their cams before i went up to take my sister’s. i wish now i’ve asked more of those i half-know to take photos. ah ah.

After prom, and after a lot of dawdling and last-minute phototaking, and tonnes of discussion, we finally finally decided to go junshyang’s house. woankeng jinyang junshyang and i shared a cab. yappy and mag joined us about 2 or 3 am. mostly watched movies. the eye and final destination. very nice. and talked while watching the others sleep. only junshyang and mag and i weren’t tired and i think i was the most awake person ever. went out for macs breakfast the next day and hung around and went home.

I slept at 11 last night was really tired. even though i hadn’t intended to sleep so early but my internet died so while i restarted the computer i went to lie down on the bed and i fell asleep immediately.

My room light turned itself on ytd evening!!! I kept thinking “signs” (internal joke) but anyway it was really freaky! i suspect now, in all consciousness and rationality, that the power tripped or i turned it on earlier but it didn’t work till then. haha. hopefully so. only a few days before i watched Quarantine with nick and all the images stayed with me for a few days ahaha but i like watching horrors and scaring myself.

the day before prom ben hazel jijo yappy ernest and i went balmoral to play board games hahahaha okay damn lame but it was surprisingly fun and the 4 or so hours passed by very quickly.

spent quite a bit of time playing fifa 09 and er, it is a bit laggy but otherwise kinda like 08. so i’m a bit sick of it already. i also play word challenge and tetris on facebook haha but gets pretty boring too after awhile. very very lazy to blog or upload photos. or call up the stupid emcee thing or register for basic theory. or even continue reading my stephen kings hahahaha. the lack of academia is doing very well for my mind and soul haha. speaking of emcee after watching the prom programme last night i am having second thoughts ugh it’s really hard to be a good emcee ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sucks sucks.

vietnam this day next week. i’m still feeling homebound and lethargic so not very excited. i look forward to outing with qs and yx and calvin though i haven’t seen the latter 2 since Lit paper 4. and of course, dates with Nick till i leave for Vietnam she’s going Japan 3 days after i’m back till nearly new year so pity meeeeee ugh.

2008’s almost over already. maybe i’ll do up a reflection post of sorts soon.
