Malaysia truly AAAAAAAAAAAAAsia.

June 17, 2006 at 8:59 pm (Adventures, General)

hahah i'm back from KL tanjung karang.
was slightly better than i expected.
though it got a bit boring at some points.
went to padi fields, rice mills, oil palms mills, a pewter factory
and meals were pretty good,
all at restaurants.
we stayed at this supposedly 5-star hotel at Shah Alam.

shopping was a bit of a disappointment.
the prices werent much different from singapore's.
though the mid valley mall was really quite big.

but the main REWARDS of the trip = ALL THE PIRATED CDS!!!!!!!!!!
i know im not supposed to like make it known to the whole world
but i'm really damn satisfied with myself.
no, i regret not buying more!!!
i've got FIR, 5566 (dont laugh), angela zhang, sweety, JJ, gary cao and jolin.
i want more!!!!!!!!!!!!!
damn singaporean-auntie-ish.
but dammit the price is bloody cheap la.
like less than 2.50 for one cd.

what i can rmb most from the trip are the bus rides lol.
its as if we spend half the day everyday in the coach la.
slept half the time and the other half just stared at ppl or cocktalked.
hotel stay was fairly alright (:

i left my soap, shampoo and handphone charger in the hotel!!!!!!!!!
the first 2 i dont care but the charger costs 18 bucks!!
my father just bought one.

i dont understand why ppl complains singapore is too hot.
since young i've always adored the singapore weather and heat.
for some reason i cant stand cold.
maybe thats why i couldnt stand UK.
but UK's cos of some other reason also la.

that should be sorta the last relaxation for the hols already.
i've done quite a bit of maths today.
i promise myself i'm gonna finish it by tonight((:
let's see what i have here.

1) A Lot of Maths
2) Bio WS
3) Physics WS
4) Chem WS
5) Lit Essay
6) History Essay
7) Eng Compre
8) Project
9) HRP
10) A lot of ACE.

I think there's more, but these are the ones i was planning to settle by the end of the hols.
now it looks like i'll be gay if i even finish half.

pokemon today featured ash losing due to overconfidence.
hence i conclude that in life, one shouldn't be too confident!
omg i still catch pokemon every sat morning.
i've followed pokemon since i was 10.
even though now i dnt buy the merchandise or cards already im still lovin it
errrrrrrrr.
but i normally try to act my age, hahahahhaha

thats it, long post.
just a short break from maths(:
maybe i'll post a coupla pics tmr,
gogogo

Youth Media Conference

May 28, 2006 at 3:31 am (Adventures, General)

was stupid.

this morning i woke up at 7.25 and recalled that i set my alarm to 6.25, cos the youth media conference organised by ngee ann poly starts at 8.30, and i was supposed to meet zhihao at kap busstop at 8.

on further thought, i recalled that i got up and pressed off the alarm when it rang at 6.25. and continued sleeping.

anyway, i rushed there immediately.

saw ongjiaxin, huijie, xuanyi, and some others. went into the auditorium. it was like at least twice the size of our audi. required 2 projector screens. and their mediatech room at the back was like an office itself.

the guest of honour was vivian balakrishnan. not bad la. then there were a few panellists, supposedly media experts. their presentations and the discussion were okay, but quite boring actually. it ended around 12, where we then went for lunch and the 2nd part of the conference, which is a workshop.

the worst thing was, they allocated different workshops to different ppl. i got some comic drawing workshop or sth. so after the buffet lunch i decided to run away with ongjiaxin.

anyway i typed all the above in the afternoon. but i din post. tried to go out with paul to watch davincicode but my phone ran out of bat again, i was late, and he wasnt around. so i took the train all the way home. wasted the whole afternoon. at first i was damn pissed with paul. but realised afterwards that though he shouldnt have run away, i was rather late. okay anything forget it.

didnt wanna go alan's farewell mini-party at pingkan's place. but hazel called me at 8.10 and asked me to go. so i went (:

played soccer until 10 where we came up to his apartment. only him alone in the house eh. so we slept over. caught a few videos and a damn lame horror. maybe i'll sleep soon. the time now is 3.30, hahaha. some of them went downstairs to swim. at this hour lol.

okay chaiyi and mngte on the bed beside me sleeping. i shall go join them now bye!

i wanna go back

May 20, 2006 at 5:45 pm (Adventures, General)

i finally got inspiration for this post after 2 days of procrastination. thanks ben hahah. chiangmai simply rocked so much; i wanna go back right now. the trip covered quite a lot, but for me the main highlight was the village life. here goes the in-depth account of this superb 670-dollar trip.

so we took budget airlines there. seriously the service wasnt much to speak of. but its not called budget airlines for nothing.

the magic schoolbus reached chiangmai late afternoon. and we had our dinner at some random seafood restaurant. the dinner was only soso though. walked around the night bazaar for awhile after that. didnt get anything much; only a shirt and a bangle bracelet.

the next morning we trekked to karen village. 3 hrs i think. halfway the pickup vehicle stopped at this famous waterfall and we just frolicked about and got ourselves wet. climbed up and it was damn fun. the trek next wasnt bad, but the rain made the mud sticky and slippery and my shoes prolly became shit. reached there around 3 plus, checked into the hut, and stoned around until dinnertime. after dinner we went to sleep…. 7 pm lol. that night we kept waking up at weird periods, at least me and hazel did. didnt sleep very well; and the village dogs which were normally docile and friendly turned aggressive when i accidentally shone a torchlight at its face 3 am in the morning when i went out to pee. ran up the steps to the hut and bruised my limbs. scary shit.

late morning next day we trekked to palong village where we would spend our next 2 days at. trekked for quite long, but finally we reached our destination. all of us got a huge pleasant surprise when we reached, lol. though most of the time we were sitting in the hut eating lays potato chips bought from the small stall outside our hut, it was damn fun. most of the proed guys shared one hut, and it was quite a bonding activity. the sitting around and talking cock. and the cat which kept running in to steal our food. and weixiang’s c.b.chup. (((:

4th day was spent doing work for the villagers, like laying pipes, collecting logs, teaching and all. also damn fun, though quite demanding. we didnt really do much i think. by 3+ we were sitting in the hut talking cock again. and eating lays… i must admit the village food was really fantabulously good. and the chicken was big juicy and tender like anything.

we left palong feeling damn sad the next day. village life is so damn relaxing. totally carefree. the villagers there are like, so innocent, natural. compared to city life, i must say the former appeals more to me. hazel agrees.

on the way back we stopped by the elephant camp to watch elephants perform and to have our rides. buttache man, the elephant seat. then we had a rafting session before going back.

back in the city, we spent the night shopping. 4 hours plus to spend all my money. and i did. omg the shopping is crazy man. cheap and good. i got accessories, food, a pair of slippers, shirts and had starbucks. damn fun man. i offended some woman though. asked her straight whether the shirts on display were fake or real when obviously they were fake. her face turned black rightaway lol.

next morning we went up to the temple. and since the usual guys abandoned us when we went to the toilet, weixiang and i walked around on our own. we went into the temple to pray, and the museum to take a look. then we went to another village for some last minute shopping and looking around.

chiang mai means new city.
chiang rai means old city.
chiang is city.
mai means new.
rai means old.

thats pretty much all i learnt on the bus ride back to the airport.

had kfc for dinner, and trannies were abundant.

the plane ride back was fun. the last ten mins of the flight i experienced the most torturous sensation i’ve ever felt in 16 years. must be the pressure, cos the hole where my teeth had been extracted 2 wks ago started hurting like crazy. immediately my head also started splitting, like someone was hammering it with a computer monitor or sth. i thought i was gonna die man. it was downright hell ^489571498578. started tearing a bit, damn embarrassing.

but all in all, it was the best camp i’ve ever had. and im positive i wont ever forget this camp. at least not palong village.

going out for dinner so no time for pics. i dont have many of my own anyway. stupid film camera ahhh. but its okay i’ve no real need for a digital one (: maybe i’ll post some of ben’s or daryl’s tmr.

mmm long post. ciaos!

sophia blackmore

April 21, 2006 at 10:39 pm (Adventures, General)

i do realise that the previous few entries sound damn gay.
but nonetheless i won't delete them((:
no reason why.
but anyway the storm is cleared.

today was damn damn fun! school was boring as usual. chem test, DIE. damn stupid. i screwed up the formulae cos i thought i knew them well enough. turned out i didnt and so i think i'll die like shit. breastfeeding with ngsc was not bad too. he's quite an okay guy actually ((((:

after that went to mgs for the sophia blackmore lecture. with ben sean chai joch and pingkan. then there was this stubborn pair of sec 2s who simply refused to move over even though we threatened to not take their attendance. but anyway, it wasnt that interesting until we discovered that their principal was sleeping right in front of the speaker. WE WERE LIKE LOLOLOL.

then the exciting part came. Q and A. after several ppl mostly from hci went up, I GATHERED UP MY GUTS. TOOK A DEEP BREATH. ANDANDAND. WENT UP.

ahhhhhh it was damn scary. i am naturally shy you see. yesyes, im really naturally shy!!!
but it turned out okay, other than the fact that the speaker didnt really get what i was trying to say. i think he's quite cock to say the truth. probably because i went a bit out of point, out of his area of expertise. but anyway, the experience was rather addictive. i felt like going up again just a few minutes after i went back to my seat. must be the adrenaline rush. ahh.

and the principal woke up just in time for the souvenir presentation LOL. omg everybody should have been there. the scene was so damn funny. but they shouldnt have too many ppl, because i think we laughed slightly too loudly.

after that went to kap and continued having fun prank calling ppl. pingkan was the star of the day. shant go into details, but you should hear for yourself. literally ((:

in short, today was damn fun. next wk a lot of tests, diediedie.
maybe i'll go to the national library tmr with hazel.
i do feel a bit nostalgic about that place after all.
hahah.

April 8, 2006 at 10:22 pm (Adventures, General)

damn lazy to blog nowadays. or maybe its just these few days.

so, i just reached home. came back from my 2nd home, the national library.

went to ac barker hostel for the sc indian harmony thing.
got sabotaged and will prolly get to play the bridesgroom for a chinese-indian marriage :D :D:D isnt that just great. indeed cross-cultural eh. was super unproductive, this session. wasted a lot of time. but quite funny at some parts la hahahah. but theres this extra who has to ruin my day. esp at al azhar which we went to after that.

and oh, was feeling damn sad over my maths test which i could have gotten 82 if i hadn’t had mistakes like putting + sign instead of -, forgetting to multiply the 2nd term of the binomial while expanding, multiplying wrongly, even basic differentiation also can see wrongly. altogether 29 marks gone due to this. so now i get a c6! maths double units somemore. this term holds an early disappointment for me indeed. anyway, now i’ve gotten over it. theres nothing i can do about it except to be more careful and focused in the future. i dunno, this might be because i was running a fever and holding a full bladder while doing the test or sth else. just get over it la.

some library security guards damn strict la. made me open the laptop bag and take out the 2 sch library books. when the guard asked me if i will take them out later, of course i said yes. then she immediately said go put them in the locker. and she told the other guard i was so truthful!!! so i asked her again if i could bring in. argued a bit but no she still said cannot even though i asked if i could change my answer to no, which she said no i couldnt. stupid la.

just started on my hrp omg. hopefully i can finish tmr, or else monday i’ll just have to beg for an extension again.

sigh.

buggers

March 31, 2006 at 9:28 pm (Adventures, General)

hello.

it has been one helluva week man. i'm dying and panting and wheezing and koffing coughing and whatever shit. i fell asleep at 11.40 last night, leaving my com on, my project file on and my stats poster file on. my father just told me he didnt save anything when he turned it off. gggggggg. anyway i think i only slept an avg of 4+ hours these past few days, and hence i promise to sleep early later. even though i'm meeting ben and zhihao tmr noon at national library again. slim didnt call ben luckily. and we didnt see him today so there wasnt any need to run at all. phew

went to training just now. damn interesting at the bus stop when me and kev went home. at the bus stop, the poloers came, and seannie sat on the seat and was lamenting about the fact that he has to shave next year (yes). and all of a sudden out of the blue…

A LIZARD FELL ON HIS HEAD.

LOL x 1897589718597891749587189

HE SCREAMED AND JUMPED UP HAHAHAHHAHA.

the scene was damn bloody funny.

anyway, waited for 67 for more than half an hour. wanted to catch pig on our bus but so damn unfortunately stanley ng called kev when we were at bt panjang already and told him that pig was on the bus with him!!! and the bus was the next bus or two after us! what a pity ): i only saw the acs guy i see on 67 every morning.

today morning started out really bad. overslept on the bus and got off at the college side. and obviously i dont look like a colleger so those who share the same bus as me every morning got to see the kind of interesting shows i like when ppl miss their stops. (:

and i repeat, today morning went so wrong. was in the toilet with ben and hazel. i should have known better to enter toilets with these 2 at the same time. always sure got sth happen one. so well we saw a big bee or hornet or beetle or some big flying insect on the cubicle. and it was like half dead or sth cos it wasnt flying and was very lazy. anyway, ben held it by the wings and walked near me in the corner. and knowing i have a vehvehvehvehveh strong phobia of large flying insects, he purposely did it. omfg so i screamed. screamed like i was being poked with 69 knives, rolled over by 69 cars, tickled 69 hours, whatever you wish. 4 times in a row, and long emo screams they were.

all of a sudden, the thing was crawling on the floor and hazel was gonna pick it up. i was sure he was gonna fling it at me or sth, so i immediately raised my foot and crushed the poor thing. sorry sorry to the thing if it can see and to all animal and insect lovers. trust me, i love life. anyway, as soon as i stepped on it, there was a distinct silence suddenly and who should walk in but tanpt our vice principal. godddddd, i was so damn stunned. he asked me zhuo shen me. then i lifted my foot and pointed at the carcass. then he went aiyoh aiyoh and just said bu yao pa zhe zhong xiao dong xi la. and bla bla bla. hazel told me hon was just outside the toilet and heard my 10000000-decibel screams. and he was rather pissed. luckily tanpt wasnt angry. told benpoh that tanpt wanted to see him, but he didnt believe the not-so-convincing tale i think.)))))):

moving away from bugs and lizards, yesterday's assembly was rather interesting. no i'm not talking about 4o's exceptional performance, but rather the subject combinations for jc that was revealed to us by some college teacher. i wanna take psychology and sociology or maybe philosophy in uni, so i think i'll choose lit ki china studies in english (what an irony), maybe history or econs. plus maths for h1. notice theres no science… I HATE SCIENCE YAY NO MORE OF IT. song.

ah, long post. intended to do some work tonight but i'm rather sleepy already. maybe i'll type a bit more of our project stuff and i'll turn in. byebye!

BOTAK

March 22, 2006 at 9:45 pm (Adventures, General, Pictures)

i swear nobody has a life as interesting as mine. i should probably add that nothing is as interesting as watching hair getting shaved off your friends’ head. and that is why i promised myself that no matter how much work i have today (which is a lot), i must still log in the most fun day ever since this year started.

today after sch at around 2, daryl ben chai and me went to united square. reason? to satisfy the weird urge of jijo to cut his hair botak. reached there at 3 with the monkey jumping in excitement, but we went pizza hut to have our lunch first. in the sch, on the bus, during lunch, everywhere, ben was in fits trying to decide. jijo was egging him on. but anyway, they went to jean yip academy to shave.

i took 42 pictures in total. and uploaded to my com most of them. unfortunately my phone chooses today to be cranky and hence all the pics are 5 kb and smaller than the msn popup thing. DAMN SAD CAN. but i don’t care i shall just post all that i can.

before everything; beside the pool

this is the only pic in the whole collection thats bigger. sad.
on the bus; distressed monkey.
this nut wants to know how he looks like with an empty forehead
boy is he nervous
one is damn nervous; the other is plain excited.
LOOK AT THE BIG GRIN ON DARYL’S FACE (and the fhm)
in action (:

cut

shave!!!
lololol
awwww somebody’s feeling sad already.
lol
almost
lol this guy has gone crazy already.
spastic
it disturbs me that he was so super happy throughout the whole process

touch touch
!
lol
done
end of the day
compare and contrast

so now benjamin wants me to buy him a beanie. alternatively he can use a plastic bag. but i really want to buy them wigs if i have the cash. damn fun la. to me, the main advantage of being botak is that you can wear wigs ((((: so fun right???

thats all. wasted 1 whole hour on this whole business. no, plus the 4 hrs i accompanied them to give them moral support (:

ok thats all.
cya!

Liver Maya

March 17, 2006 at 9:21 pm (Adventures, General, Rants)

i wish i could jot down every single thing that crosses my mind every single second.

so i got lost again. today was a totally wasted day actually. went to school early in the morning to see ang, and it was rather boring listening to him going through the work. so after that paul and i went for lunch and i went to cut hair.

met ben around 2+ at bus stop and after handing in his lit we went to nat library. when we reached there i realised i didnt have the latest project stuff in my project file and thus we couldnt plan a single shit. did a bit of researching and thinking though. but it wasn’t worth the few hours and 4o cents thats for sure.

had dinner at the coffeeshop opposite the library again. ate the same noodles and drank the same kopi. quite lec.

the 2 of them were going to rivermaya so i waited for the bus alone at the busstop outside library. wanted to take 960 back to scgs to transfer but i forgot the direction which we came from. so unfortunately i chose the wrong one and after years of waiting for that single bus i ended up at marina square.

good job, i told myself. initially i didnt know where i was, but wanted to walk back. almost got knocked down by 1000000000 cars when i tried to jaywalk across the roads. after awhile some middle-aged woman who couldnt cross too walked with me to the shopping centre to get to the other side. and SHE was the kind soul who told me that the mrt i could take there was city hall. and it was only that lousy moment where i realised that i could have walked from NLB to city hall mrt. i swear it was a focking waste of time.

the way home i was dying to punch something. it wasnt exactly helpful that the mrt stank like cockroach shit for no apparent reason. plus stepping on a foreigner’s foot for 3 times on the train. anyway, i decided to buy a deodorant for myself.

i think its a pretty sad ironic world that strangers can be relied upon much more than friends. and i’m almost fully sure that i wouldn’t be able to survive for more than one day if i weren’t living in a place like singapore. so much for experiences with getting lost. on the other hand, i feel that it is living in singapore that has bred a distaste for being lost. cos i wouldn’t have minded getting lost if i weren’t pressed for time to go home and get things done. thats also the case for them driving so damn fast and rushing and not letting me cut across the stupid street. made me waste so bloody lot of time and almost my life. singaporeans… sometimes i seriously don’t know if it’s all worth it or not.

fuck i think i should just go and sleep now and not think about anything. too many issues jamming my brain.

i’ll go listen to some jay now. maybe it’ll help clear my mind see you.

birthday =)

March 16, 2006 at 12:08 am (Adventures, General)

ahh. today was indeed another interesting day.
bball wasnt so bad, though i sucked pretty badly, but quite funny la. mmm and i discovered that i'm damn clumsy, and nobody should come near me (: ah wth. sorry to thosel who fell la, i swear they were accidents :D

went for lunch after that, but didnt have any appetite. sat awhile and went home after that, but just took a shower and who should call but chaiyi, saying that he wants me to arrive at the national library in half an hour's time. no choice la, being the responsible and loyal friend i am, obviously i obeyed. tada and at 5 pm i found myself in the library.

slacked for awhile there, then went for dinner at the coffeeshop there. the noodles were quite nice haha. and the coffee was good. just like what coffeeshop coffee should taste like ((((((((((:

took a bus down to kap after that. chai offered to buy me lubricants from 7-11 for my birthday, but i politely declined cos i have no use for them (: met hazel and gang there, and we went to market to watch joch eat and cut my cake. too bad i had no appetite at all. bt timah plaza afterwards to lan. damn my cs is absolutely horrible now, after more than 3 mths of not touching it. don't care though.

what matters most is to have fun.

yep.

ya, thanks to every single person who gave me greetings, online sms or in person.
thank you POH ZI EN BENJAMIN for organising the thing.
thank you poh hazel joch neh and ying for turning up just now.
and thanks to all who gave me presents.

yes its quite a sweet 16th birthday for me la.

ah well its 12.25 already and i'm super tired.
16th birthday, byebye (:

screw CCAB

March 13, 2006 at 2:00 pm (Adventures, General)

interesting day.
went to school early in the morning 9+ for hrp consultation with laurang.
eh she liked my proposal! so happy pls.
then the fun started.
i walked to the bus stop and stoned there cos i was thinking whether to go netball or not.
so after stoning for 1/2 an hour, it was already 11.
i thought it might have ended already, so i had the idea of going home, but ben had to call me and ask me to go.
so i went to take the bus… 157.
wth how do i know 157 does not pass by ccab.
daryl said ANY bus.
so i really anyhow chose one lor.
stupid.
got off at the 2nd stop after coro and wandered around.
and stoned at the bus stop there waiting for ppl to call me cos i couldnt get anyone.
after what seemed like forever joseph called and told me it was the wrong bus.
so i tried to walk back to coro to take the few buses that can go sc.
but wth.
after walking for damn damn long i found myself at st margs.
so i knew i must be pretty near coro already.
so i tried to walk….
after awhile i found myself walking around the same spot, around st margs.
and i thought my experience walking around st margs a few mths ago could have saved me. )):
and it was like, close to 1 hr spent on running around the houses there.
luckily towards the end i saw nanyang primary and took the right way out.
but it was bloody tiring la.
from coro, i took 2 stops of 66.
and found myself lost yet again.
no sight of the ccab anywhere.
so i hailed a cab and asked the uncle to bring me to ccab.
sadly he had no idea where ccab was, but that cheaterbug conned me of 2.70 cos i asked him to stop at scgs which was like, 1 or 2 bus stops away.
dumbdumb.
wth. from there i walked back to the bus stop where i alighted at first, and crossed to the opposite. saw some place that had a soccer field and a few basketball courts and was quite big, so i’m guessing thats the place.
however, what was unfortunate was by that time it was already 1 pm.
my phone was bloody dead so i couldnt contact anyone.
ok, so i hopped on the next 67 which came by and went home and this is how i come to be eating hokkien mee and cold green tea and hot kopi from downstairs now.
ps. the kopi is extremely nice :D :D

moral of the story:
1. never go out without ensuring that your phone wont go dead.
or maybe i should just carry my spare battery around next time.
blah.

2. take geog seriously. stupid, get 0 for all the map tests in sec 1, now keep getting lost in a place like singapore. this must be linked to my fail grade for geog. ngsc, BREASTFEED MOREEEEEEEEEEEE

3. never go to st margs again, especially not alone.

and even though there was no netball for me, i got plenty of exercise yeah.
now i’m bloooody tiredddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd.
think i’ll go sleep later.

oh yes, army daze last night was extremely hilarious in my opinion.
more so if you fully appreciate the hokkien that they’re using.
but the funniest is the transexual lathi, of course.
foodcourt for dinner and icecream from macs before that, and mos burger after that.
we gayed around with seann like we always do.
but overall we had a lot of fun i think.

mmm yes thats all.
hols, though filled with work and projects and everything, are still quite slack to a certain extent la. at least we can sleep late everyday =))))

yay, going paul’s place this wk to play squash!
he said as long as i dont mind getting thrashed its okay.
yes its okay for me too i just wanna touch some rackets and run in the courts ((:
better than going for training

ok thats all, ben just told me they’re in town now, THANKS LEH.
ahhh dont care, its my own fault. or rather my phone’s fault.
cya!
